MRS. NANCY BYER PERDUE HILL, OF FALLS MILLS, PASSES
Following an illness of several days, Mrs. Nancy Byer Perdue Hill, 82, widow of Wiley G. Hill and one of the pioneers of the Falls Mills section, died Wednesday afternoon, March 14, 1935, at her home at Falls Mills.
Mrs. Hill was a native of Franklin County, Virginia, born August 18. 1854, and was a daughter of Silas Green and Nancy Powell Perdue. She came to this section 47 years ago. She was widely known in this community.
Mrs. Hill has been a member of the Methodist Church for many years.
Her husband preceded her twenty-seven years ago. Two daughters also preceded her to the grave.
She is survived by the following sons: Thomas Harden, Felix Shelton, and Edward Wiley Hill all of Falls Mills; Silas Green Hill of St. Charles, Va. And Henry Crockett of Freeburn, Ky. She leaves three sister; Mrs. Jennie Mitchell of Coopers; Mrs. P.W. Wagner and Mrs. Martha Tabor of Brushfork, and three brothers, Henry Silas, Booker Tazwell and Tom Perdue all of Brushfork.
Funeral services will be held at the home Friday conducted by the Rev. Elmer W. Dean, of Bluefield, Va.
Burial will follow at the family cemetery (Tabor Cemetery) near Falls Mills. The hour will be announced later.
