Tommy Ray Adair, 75, of Delbarton, Mingo County, West Virginia, passed away Monday, August 6, 2007, at the Williamson Memorial Hospital, Williamson, West Virginia. He was born October 14, 1931 at Bias, Mingo County, West Virginia, a son of the late Samuel and Nancy Baisden Adair. He was also preceded in death by a son, Tommy Ray Adair Jr.; brothers, Sammy, Cracker, Johnny, Donald and Billy Rush; sisters, Lucille Hall, Janet Berry and an infant sister. Tommy was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in the Korean Conflict. He was also a disabled coal miner.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, August 9, 2007, at the Chafin Funeral Home, Delbarton. Burial will follow in the Endicott section of the Adkins Cemetery at Delbarton with theBelfry area Chapter 141 Disabled American Veterans (DAV) performing last rites services.
