Mrs. Grace Spiegel Acken, a resident of Nyack for the past 58 years, died early this morning at her home, 122 North Broadway, Nyack. Mrs. Acken was born in Germantown, Philadelphia, Pa., was the wife of John Acken and the mother of Beatrice L. Acken.
She was a talented musician, being a singer and playing both the piano and the organ. She was active in Sunday school work and church work and before her marriage was a church organist. When she and John Acken first came to Nyack they were active in the old Nyack Boat Club.
Funeral services will be at her home Friday morning at 10:30 o'clock. Interment will be in Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla."
