CHERRYVALE, KS. - Earl "Wayne" Hammond, 78, of Cherryvale, Kansas, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, at Labette Health in Parsons, Kansas.
He was born March 15, 1929, in Winner, South Dakota, to Earle and Cordia (Sheffield) Hammond. His family moved to Thayer, KS in 1932. He attended schools in Morehead and Cherryvale.
He worked in heavy construction when he was not serving in the U.S. Army.
He has no immediate survivors.
The service will be at Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Cherryvale, Kansas.
