Walter "Bud' Hess Hinkle, 80 died June 24, 2003 in Ft. Pierce, FL.

Mr. Hess was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1980 from Stamford, CT.

He worked for 36 years as a programmer in Stamford, CT. He was a member of: American Legion Post 11, Bridgeport, CT, Union Masonic Lodge #5, Stamford, CT, 320 of Masonic Rite, Scottish Rite, Stamford, CT, Pyramid Temple Life Member, Bridgeport, CT, former board member of Children's Hospital & Burns Institute, Stamford, CT, veteran of the US Army, serving in the Medical Detachment 324th Infantry 44th Division, and received a Purple Heart and Bronze Star.

Survivors include his wife, Edith Hinkle of Bel Air, MD, daughters and son-in-laws, Linda & Fred Richardson of Ft. Pierce, FL, Joyce & Romas Stadalninkis of Sun City Center, FL, and Brenda & Robert Lupinacci of Stamford, CT, brother, James Hinkle of Virginia Beach, VA; sister, Gladys Corder of Bradenton, FL; grandchildren, Stephanie Hardison, Christopher Richardson, and Jason Richardson; seven great-grandchildren; and he was preceded in death by his first wife of 51 years, Mary A. Hinkle.

Services: A Memorial & Masonic Service will be held on June 27, 2003 at 11:00 AM at Haisley-Hobbs Funeral Home, Ft. Pierce .
