Margaret Hawks Mitchell, 56, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, Dec. 5, 1999, at Methodist Heathcare of Dyersburg.

She was a retired employee of Dyersburg Fabrics where she worked for 34 years, a former Girl Scout Troop Leader and a member of the Modern Woodmen of the World.

Services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, 1999, in the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Ashley and the Rev. Mike Lawson officiating. Burial was in Sorrell's Chapel Cemetery near Dyersburg. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Mitchell of Dyersburg; two daughters, Regina Mitchell Murray of Dyersburg and Daniell Welch of Fowlkes; one brother, Robert Junior Hawks of Dyersburg; two grandchildren.

Shr was preceded in death by her father, Homer Lee Hawks; mother, Rosie Laverne Williams Hawks Turner; one sister, Rose Harris, and one brother, Herman Hawks.

Pallbearers were Homer Lawson, Ronnie Lawson, Bart Jowers, Erby Mitchell, William Lawson and Kenneth Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers were David Owens, Tony Murray and Kevin Welch.

3 sisters (not 1) Betty Jean Hawks, Ann Beatrice Hawks and Rosie Marie Hawks Lawson Harris all of Dyersburg; also 2 brothers (not 1) Charles Randell Hawks and Herman Lee Hawks both of Dyersburg.
