One of Oldest Residents of Charlotte Passes Away at Home of Her Grandson on Louise Avenue.

Mrs. Annie P. Moyle, widow of the late Matthew Moyle and one of the oldest residents of Charlotte died yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the home of her grandson, 815 Louise avenue.
Mrs. Moyle was 82 years of age, having been born in Beaufort, S.C. on March 25, 1838. She was twice married. Her first husband, Charles C. Lee, was killed in the fighting around Richmond, Va during the civil war. Several years after his death she married Matthew Moyle, who died 14 years ago.
Mrs. Moyle had been a resident of Charlotte for more than 60 years and was a woman of remarkable abilities. She was known by a number of friends in every section of the city, who will learn of her death with keen regret.
The deceased is survived by two daughters, one step-son, 12 grand children and 25 great grand children.
The funeral will be conducted at the home this afternoon at 3 o'clock by Rev. L.R. Pruette and Rev. George A. Page. Upon request of Mrs. Moyle the following members of the Charlotte fire department will act as pallbearers: W.P. Savage, I.C. Christian, P.C. Hinson, J.C. Grier, S.H. Honeycutt and M.D. Yandle.
Interment will be in Elmwood cemetery.
