Paul was very active in our community as a board member for Jay County Habitat for Humanity. He was a member of the Morning Optimist Club and was co-chairman of the Jay County Fair Queen Pageant for 25 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking. He taught CPR at Jay County Hospital for over 26 years.
Paul Martin was born October 31, 1942 in Portland, the son of Paul and Eva (Hathaway) Martin. He married Helen Shaver on May 1, 1971.

His wife- Helen Martin, Portland
2 Sons- Douglas Martin, Portland and Nathan Martin (wife-Brenda), Portland
1 Brother- David Martin (wife-Linda), Portland
3 Sisters- Cheryl Myers, Mary Brotherton (husband-Wayne), and Eva Lou Enyart, all of Portland.
5 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by 2 sons- Dallas and Darren Martin
