Mar Kieta was born in San Diego, California to the union of Chester A. Kendrick and Jacqueline Kendrick on June 20, 1972. She was the third child of seven.
Mar Kieta Sabrina Kendrick-Lawani is survived by her Furry Baby Girl Ticker- Bell, Step-Son Derrick Sims Jr., Mother Dr. Jacqueline Kendrick and 6 Siblings as follows: Pastor Tapatha Kendrick-Smith (Pastor Frank), Durrell Kendrick, Donta Kendrick (Franci), Brandon Kendrick (Fatima), Brenton Kendrick (Nicole), Attorney Miss-Ashley Kendrick Esq. Additionally, she is survived by her loving Grandmother Ola Young, and 8 Nieces 6 Nephews. She leaves behind a host of Aunties, Uncles, Cousins, God Children and a Host of Caring Friends and Family.
Mar Kieta attended Armijo High School in Fairfield, California and Solano Community College in Fairfield, California. She then went on to complete Nursing School in Northern California. Mar Kieta was an award-winning poet. She loved writing poetry and manuscripts. She also had a very strong gift in handwritten calligraphy fonts. Furthermore, she managed a small business offering professional writing services.
Her notable hobbies included: cooking, dancing, journaling, spending time with her family, horseback riding, barbequing, holidays gumbo fests, and telling jokes with her dad and brothers is what she enjoyed the most.
Mar Kieta accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early at Greater Church of God in Christ, in Milpitas, California, under Bishop Elder Jones. She travelled the country with Dr. Morris Cerullo's Ministries. She later moved to Vallejo and attended Vallejo First Methodist Church. Mar Kieta's final resting place is in Vacaville, CA, where she attended and served at the church.
