JJan E. Kreil, age 75 of Manitowoc, passed away Friday evening, October 15, 2021.

Jan was born on June 14, 1946 in Manitowoc, son of the late Edward and Bernice (Pleuss) Kreil. He graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1964 and continued his education to become an accountant. On June 12, 1981 Jan married the former Joanne Cigler at First Reformed United Church of Christ in Manitowoc. He worked at Rahr Furniture Store, Burger Boat and Four Seasons Lawn Care until his retirement. Jan was a member of First Reformed United Church of Christ and served as church treasurer and head usher for 20 years. He was also a 50-year member of TPA.

Survivors include his wife: Joanne Kreil, Manitowoc; one daughter and son-in-law: Jodie (Nick) Wunsch, Manitowoc; one step-grandson: Jacob Wunsch, Cleveland; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Jim (Julie) Kreil, Two Rivers, Jeff (Elaine) Kreil, TN; one sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law: Catherine (John) Schwoerer, Valders, Richard Craddock, Green Bay, nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Edward and Bernice Kreil; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Joseph and Laurella Cigler; one sister-in-law: Mary Craddock; and two nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Peace United Church of Christ/First Reformed United Church of Christ, 3613 Waldo Boulevard, Manitowoc. The Rev. Dr. Matthew L. Sauer will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. The family would like to thank Dr. Baatz and the staff at Holy Family Memorial Cancer Center and his nurse Cariann and the staff at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice for all the compassionate care given to Jan.
