Nora was a red head. She died on Wednesday, November 17, 1915, outside of Stuart, Hughes County, Oklahoma, at the age of 35 years, 8 months and 5 days.

Nora was survived by her husband, John-40, and her five children: Helen-13, William-11, Elaine-7, Jack-5 and Arch-3.

"Well, she had a miscarriage. In those days they didn't have doctors (always available). There was one there, but he came in horse and buggy, when he could. We had to walk three miles to a little country store to get to a telephone. We had a creek right in front of the house. It was a log house (and it) had a loft. If that creek was up, nobody could get across it anyway. I remember mama wanted her dad to be there. She was so crazy about him, Grandpa Harmon."
