YAKLIN, Genevieve Mae - Age 82, of Prudenville, passed away Monday, August 28, 2007 at her home. Genevieve was born August 24, 1925 in Gladwin to the late Albert and Martha (Kovich) Ripke. she married William K. Yaklin in Midland on February 14, 1947 and he preceded her in death in 1987. She was an avid deer hunter for 54 seasons. Mrs. Yaklin is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Hauff of Burton and Karen (James) Toye of New Jersey; three sons, William Yaklin of Nevada, Steven Yaklin of St. Helen and James Yaklin of Prudenville; six grandchildren, Danny, Laura, Melanie, Rebecca, Jeff and Joshua; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Herbert (Elizabeth) Ripke of St. Helen, Jim (Mary) Ripke of McBain, Kenneth Ripke of Beaverton; 2 sisters, Norma Menzel of Midland, Patricia Bowen of Midland; many nieces and nephews; special nephew, Jerry (Peggy) Ripke of Maple Valley. Genevieve was preceded in death by two brothers; one sister; her husband; her parents; and a granddaughter, Christine. Funeral services for Genevieve Mae Yaklin will be conducted 10AM Friday, August 31, 2007 at the Christler Funeral Home, Prudenville Chapel. Interment will follow in Denton Twp. Cemetery. Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, August 30, 1007 from 2-8PM at Christler Funeral Home, Prudenville Chapel.
