Judith Mae Richmond was born on April 27, 1944 the daughter of Richard George and Signe Mathilda (Jensen) Kohler in Williston, ND. As a young child, Judy moved with her family to Miles City and Wibaux, MT before settling in Baker.

Judy grew up in Baker where she attended school. After high school, Judy worked at Grainger's Café as a waitress. While working at Grainger's, Judy met a man by the name of Floyd Richmond. After a courtship, Judy and Floyd were married in the Wesleyan Church in Baker on June 1, 1963. To this union were born Dena, Signe and Albert. Judy and Floyd made their home in Baker, where they raised their family. In the early 1970's, Judy and her family followed Floyd to the Canary Islands and Maltese Island where Floyd worked in the oil industry. In 1976, Judy and Floyd returned to Baker where they have continued to make their home.

Judy attended the Baker Wesleyan Church until it closed. She enjoyed working in her yard where she could be found "puttering" with the flowers and cooking. She loved music, and at one time took piano lessons. Judy was a kind and gentle person who had a heart of gold. She enjoyed calling upon people who were home bound or were going through a hard time in their life. Her greatest love in life was for her loving husband, children and grandchildren.

Throughout her life, Judy encountered three separate bouts with cancer, and through her perseverance was able to beat the disease twice. Judy passed away on Tuesday evening, December 4, 2007 at her home in Baker.

Judy is survived by her loving husband, Floyd Richmond, Baker, MT; her children, Dena (Mark) Kirschten, Baker, MT, Signe Taylor, Miles City, MT and Albert Richmond, Idaho Falls, ID; one sister, Noreen (Bill) Stewart, Oak View, CA; 8 grandchildren, Lesley Kirschten, Jessica Kirschten, Mathew Madsen, Miranda Madsen, Elycia Richmond, Alexandria Richmond, Grace Richmond and Jackson Richmond and numerous nieces and nephews. Her parents, Richard and Signe, her sisters Kay Joanne Kohler and Susan Burdick and her brothers, Richard Jerry Kohler, Nathan Danny Kohler and Thomas Dale Kohler preceded her in death.
