SAN DIMAS, July 3. - Miss Adelaide C. Doty, 84, passed away at the home of her niece, Mrs. Frank H. Taylor, 500 San Dimas avenue, Friday evening at 11:30 o'clock after an illness of several weeks.

Miss Doty was born January 10, 1859, in Hampshire, Illinois, and lived in that vicinity most of her life prior to moving to California 35 years ago. She was a school teacher by profession and taught in the public schools of Elgin, Ill., for many years. Her home was at 2708 S. Orange drive, Los Angeles, and she had been with Mrs. Taylor for the past nine weeks.

Besides Mrs. Taylor, she leaves three other nieces, Miss Harriet Stephens, Ortonville, Minn., Miss Katherine Ball, and Mrs. Harry E. Hall, both of Glendale, Calif. She was a member of the Eastern Star lodge.

Funeral services will be private, with Todd & Reeves in charge of arrangements.
She was cremated at the Pomona Crematory.
