Alice Harders Bernard, of Keithville, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at the age of 79. She was born October 28, 1941 in Forbing, Louisiana to Susan Davignon Harders and J.K. Harders, who both preceded her in death. Alice worked as an accountant during her life for many different companies.

Alice was an active and devoted member of St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church. She has been attending the mass there since the church began, 48 years ago. She was very dedicated to the Lord and was a member of the Secular Franciscan Order. Alice enjoyed gardening, quilting, sewing, reading and listening to music. She love spending time with her family most of all. She will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Joe Bernard; three children, Julie Bernard and husband Dean Kendrick, Karl Bernard and wife Carolyn and Carol Bernard and husband Dave Elzi; two grandsons, Christopher Frase and wife Courtney and Justin Bernard; and three great grandchildren, Hailey, Ryan and Cat Frase.

A visitation for Alice Harders will be held Friday, October 29, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Mary of the Pines,1050 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, Shreveport, Louisiana 71118, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM. Alice will be laid to rest in Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Rd, Shreveport, LA 71108 following the memorial service. Officiating the services will be Fr. Francis Kamau, Fr. John Paul Crispin and Fr. Michael Thang'wa. The family ask that any who in attendance of the service, follow the state mandate of wearing masks to keep everyone safe during this difficult time.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Heritage Manor South for the wonderful care that was given to Mrs. Alice during her stay.
