Billy Fisher Bell, age 81, of Owenton, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.
Born November 11, 1939, in Mt. Sterling, KY, he was the son of the late Allen Taylor Bell and Edith Fisher Bell. Billy Fisher was a lifelong farmer, milking for 30 years, and raised tobacco, hay, and cattle. He was a member of the Owenton First Baptist Church where he loved his church family. He was dedicated to the Owen County Volunteer Fire Department for over 40 years and worked part time at United Producers Stock Yard. He also enjoyed watching television and working word search puzzles.
Billy Fisher will be missed by his wife of nearly 60 years, Toby Ann Ligon Bell; his children, Allen (Alicia) Bell and Amber Bell; his grandchildren, Bethany Bell and Taylor Bell; his half-siblings, Jimmy Bell and Mandy Bell; as well as a host of friends and extended family.
McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Monday, October 25, 2021, from 11 am until 2 pm. Funeral services will follow at 2 pm with Bro. Brand Banks presiding and burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery.
