Janie was born November 24, 1940 to Bonnie M. and Nannie Lou Brewer in Gordonsburg, TN. On May 28th, 1960 she married the love of her life John Ellis. They just celebrated 60 years of marriage.
She is survived by her husband John Ellis, 2000 Reserve Blvd, Spring Hill, TN, and her son Mike (Nancy) Ellis of Columbia, TN, son Steve (Cindy) Ellis of Franklin, TN, daughter Karen (David) Jackson of Virginia Beach, VA and daughter Cheryl (Steve) Hopper of Alpharetta, GA. Janie also has 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother James Robert Brewer of Greenwood, IN.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 5 at the McDonald Funeral Home in Hohenwald. Visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 PM. Following the Funeral Service, Burial will take place in the Swiss Cemetery.
The family asks that all those in attendance to please wear a mask and to avoid hugging and shaking hands. A limited supply of masks will be available for those who may not have one. There will also be a limited seating capacity per the family's request. They welcome everyone that may miss the funeral service to attend the graveside service following the funeral at Swiss Cemetery.
