Thelma Tedford, 68, of 385 Day St. died Saturday, Sept. 6, 1997, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
Born Sept. 30, 1928, in rural North Carolina to Ronnie and Lucilla Reynolds Phillips, she married Richard Tedford on May 8, 1950, in Pontotoc, Miss. He died Dec. 3, 1971. One daughter and one granddaughter also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one son, Eugene of Galesburg; one brother, William Phillips of Kahoka, Mo.; and one sister, Julia Lee Mendela of Haines, Fla.
She was a kitchen helper at Soangetaha Country Club for three years.
She was a member of Moose Lodge 880.
Graveside services will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
