MCINTOSH -- David N. Cloyd, 75, a retired lieutenant colonel for the U.S. Army, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 1997, at his home.
A native of Washington College, Tenn., he moved here from Lexington, Ky., in 1975. Lt. Col. Cloyd served during the Korean War and World War II and he also served as former mayor of McIntosh. Mr. Cloyd was Presbyterian.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Cloyd, McIntosh; daughters, Janice Lee Cloyd Thompson, Spotsylvania, Pa., Kathryn Ann Cloyd Tucker, Sault St. Marie, Mich., Susan Marie Cloyd Wheeler and Betty Jean Murray, both of Lexington, Ky.; son, Richard C. Cloyd Tucker, Sault St. Marie; sister, Betty DeVault Colgin, Winston-Salem, N.C.; 14 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to North Central Florida, American Heart Association.
