LaDena Jane Thompson, 95 years, 6 months, 15 days old, passed peacefully to Heaven on October 24, 2021 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare, Ava, MO with her daughters by her side.
LaDena was born April 9, 1926 in Waynoka, OK to Michael Vere and Mamie Roberta (Clemens) Boyle.
On June 24, 1946 LaDena and Lawrence Thompson were united in marriage at Fredonia, KS and together they were blessed with three daughters, Janie, Linda and Connie.
LaDena was a housewife and homemaker. She was an accomplished seamstress. Her work was unending and she found joy in serving others. She enjoyed cooking and sewing for her family. LaDena was a member of the Ava General Baptist Church and loved attending church with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lawrence, her daughter, Linda Leonard, brother Frank Boyle, sisters Shirley and Linda Boyle, son-in-law, Troy Sherrill and brother-in-law Les Griffith.
LaDena is survived by her daughters, Janie & Gary Streight and Connie Sherrill, grandchildren and their spouses, Tara & James Johnson, Tracy & Lee Rodgers, Tanya & Tommy Silvey; great grandchildren, Brandon Dennis, Hailey & Bryce Beeler, Tyler Johnson, Shane Silvey, Brenna Rodgers; great great grandson, Kasen Beeler; sisters, Ruth Ann Griffith, Karen & Gordon Abernathy, and Sandra & Tim Baze, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for LaDena will be Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Fannon Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. to service time. Officiating will be Pastor Oren Alcorn. Memorials may be made to Fannon Cemetery.
