Carroll Cromer Ethridge, Sr.,75 of Greenwood, died Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Newberry County Hospital.
Born in Greenwood, he was the son of the late W. J. Ethridge and Evelyn Ethridge. Carroll was an U. S. Army Vietnam veteran and retired from Warner's Pump Service over 20 years. He was known as Papa Santa by his great grandchildren. Carroll was an avid fisherman, turkey and deer hunter and enjoyed antiques cars. Carroll was a member of Mt Lebanon Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Ethridge.
Surviving are a son, Carroll C. "Bo" Ethridge, Jr (Pam); two brothers, Larry Ethridge, Ronnie Ethridge; a grandson, Alan Ethridge (Lauren); and two great grandchildren, Conner and Kinsley Simmons.
Services will be held 2pm on Thursday at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church with the Rev. Arthur Gamble officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
