Born July 20, 1934, in Wilkes-Barre, Peter was the son of the late Anthony and Anna Knut Saksa.
He was a graduate of Coughlin High School and was a member of St. Barbara's Parish, Exeter.
Peter proudly served in the United States Army.
He was employed by Roth American Inc. for many years before retiring from Medico Industries.
In addition to his parents, Peter was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Zurla Saksa; his brothers, Joseph, John, Andrew and Anthony; and his sisters, Helen and Margaret.
Surviving are his daughter, Jacqueline Davis and her husband, Richard, Wyoming; grandchildren, Amber and Ricky Davis, Wyoming; his brother, Thomas Saksa and his wife, Carol, California; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday from Bednarski Funeral Home, 168 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with the Rev. Michael E. Finn, officiating.
Family and friends may call from 8:30 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
