Cornelia van Rijn was the (illegitimate) daughter of Rembrandt van Rijn and Hendrickje Stoffels. She married Cornelis Suythof in 1670 and moved to the Dutch East-Indies soon after. Cornelia and Cornelis had two children. We know her eldest son was named Rembrandt - baptized 1673 - and her younger son was named Hendrick - baptized 1678.

From documents from the year 1785 we know that Cornelia died. Her sons do not live long after the loss of their mother.
