"Mrs. Agnes Hines Passes Suddenly. The many southern Oregon friends of Mrs. Agnes Hines will be shocked to hear of her sudden death this morning, at her home in Forest Grove. Ore., of pneumonia. Mrs. Hines, the former Agnes Devlin of Jackson county, was the sister-in-law of Miles Cantrail of the Applegate district, and was raised In southern Oregon. Frequent visits to friends and relatives here kept up her numerous contacts in this section, where she was well known and liked among a large circle of acquaintances. Mrs. Hines organized the Medford League of Writers, and members of that organization today expressed their shocked grief at the passing of their organizer. Mrs. Hines was prominent in club and cultural circles of the state."
