Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Cox Funeral Home Benton Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive, with Tommy Fulgham of Souls Harbor Church officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery East.
Mr. Howeth was born and raised in Thackville, Okla., and moved to Amarillo in 1967 from Great Bend, Kan. He married Irene Bowden in 1941 in Lawton, Okla. He was a salesman for Vernon Sell's Farm Supply for 20 years and drove a truck for Chemical Express for 12 years before his retirement.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Sue Howeth and a son, Billy Howeth.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Linda Long, Glenda Meyer and Sharon Collins, all of Amarillo; two sons, David Howeth and Larry Howeth, both of Amarillo; 16 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176.
