Katherine Drakos, 97, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2003, at Scripps Memorial Hospital in Encinitas.
Born Jan. 7, 1905, in Colborn, Wis., she lived in Vista for three years. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Drakos was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Drakos, in 1972. She is survived by her sons George Drakos of Kaysville, Utah, Christopher Drakos of Blackfoot, Idaho, and Steve Drakos of Salt Lake City; daughters Violet Rush of Bountiful, Utah, Penelope Burch of Vista, Marine O'Donnell of Colton, Stella Thoren of Escondido and Mary Cowley of Missouri; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be in Bountiful, Utah. Interment will take place at the Farmington City Cemetery in Farmington, Utah.
