Obituary

Cindy Karen Alder
1957-2021

Cindy Karen Alder passed away peacefully on the Sabbath, October 31, 2021, at her home in Manti, Utah, due to declining health. She was born on March 31, 1957 in Ogden, Utah to Bud and Karen Jensen. She was the sweetheart of Keith S. Alder.

Cindy was raised in Weber County, Utah and graduated from Weber High School in 1975. She worked at the Weber Memorial Hospital as a nursing aid. Cindy met her sweetheart at a young adult broom dance and got engaged on Halloween and married on January 20, 1978 in the Salt Lake Utah Temple.

Cindy and Keith were blessed with six children, and the opportunity of raising their family in seven different western states. Everywhere she lived, Cindy made lifetime friends. She showed her love and gave service to all she met. Her testimony and love of the Savior brought light to others around her. Keith and Cindy served as temple workers in the Lubbock Texas Temple, and Cindy loved doing the Lord's work in the temple. Cindy was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings in the Relief Society, Primary, in the library and Sunday School.

Cindy spent her time developing her interest in gardening. She loved fresh vegetables and her yard was graced with flowers, especially brilliant pink roses and raspberries. Through her life, Cindy always had a keen mind and a cheerful countenance, which radiated to everyone she met.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Keith S.
