Hallie Marie Garrison, age 74 of Floresville, passed away on October 31, 2021.

Hallie was born on May 22, 1947, in Houston, Texas to Thomas Monroe Whittington and Hallie Marie Hobbs.

Hallie is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Hallie Whittington; birth mother, Shirley Froehlich ; siblings, Horace Greeley "H.G." Whittington, Celia Lee "Bootsie" Whittington; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Hallie is survived by her husband, Faron Garrison; children, Robert Henrie, Dawn (Terry) White; grandchildren, Christopher Henrie, Logan White; siblings, Judy Okert, Gary Froehlich; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Hallie was a huge lover of all things genealogy-related, spending many hours of her life researching her family history, exploring graveyards, and chronicling grave memorials on Find a Grave for people to be able to locate their loved ones and even "visit" virtually.

She loved anything Dallas Cowboys-related (let it be known that they won on the day she died – we are sure she made that happen!) She also loved her cats and everything that was the color purple.

She loved her work family at Murray Title and continued to work part-time long past retirement age in order to stay active and keep in close touch with them. She had a fierce faith and we know she is with our Heavenly Father enjoying watching over all of us now.

A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at the Vinyard Funeral Home Chapel, beginning at 2:00 pm. All family and friends who attend are encouraged to dress casually as if they were coming to visit Hallie. Also, if you would like to wear Hallie's favorite color, purple, in her honor, please do so. There will be a reception following the service, held at Sacred Heart Church Reception Hall.
