My Grandfather, Fred, was affectionately called "Gramps." He was the son of Dr. Fred G. Bubeck, Sr. and Winifred E. Crawford Bubeck. He married Ruby H. Lotspeich in 1935. Gramps loved and coached baseball. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was also a Merchant Marine. Fred died of lung cancer, and was exposed to asbestos on the ships. His eldest son married my mother, Pansy A. Kensler Bubeck.
