Dewey "Doe" Stewart
August 31, 1941 - October 30, 2021
Mr. Dewey Lee "Doe" Stewart, 80 of Mt. Vernon, passed from this life on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond. He was born in Mt. Vernon, KY on August 31, 1941 the son of Sam and Pairlee Leger Stewart. He was a retired architect and construction worker and was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church. He dearly loved his family and friends, as well as fishing, playing Bingo, and cooking. Most of all, he loved the Lord, reading his Bible, and listening to preaching. He was very special to his family and will surely be missed.

He is survived by his children: Jon Stewart of London, Stevie Stewart and wife Jessica of Mt. Vernon, and LeAnn Luttrell and husband Steven of Springfield; two brothers: Carl Stewart and wife Linda and Charles Stewart, both of Mt. Vernon; seven grandchildren: Ashley Bullens and husband Benj, and Jamie Wilson, both of Berea, Olivia Stewart, Jonathan Stewart, and Jordan Stewart, all of London, and Chance Ansardi and Blaze Stewart, both of Mt. Vernon; and a great grandson: Zander Wilson of Somerset. He also loved his three grand-dogs: Willow, Rhomba, and Max, as well as all the neighbors' dogs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Monte Stewart; several siblings; and other close family and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Stewart will be conducted Friday, November 5 at 1:00 PM at Flat Rock Baptist Church by Bro. Lonnie McGuire. Burial will follow in Briarfield Cemetery.
