Ronald (Ron) Zak, age 83, of Blue Ridge, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021, at Pruitt Health Care. Mr. Zak was born October 12, 1938, in Milwaukee, WI, to the late Phillip Andrew Zak and the late Bernadine Katherine Meyer Zak. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Epworth and a veteran of the US Air Force and Navy. Ron was employed by the US Federal Government for thirty years. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Andrew Zak, his father, Phillip Andrew Zak and, his mother, Bernadine Katherine Zak, and his sister, Marilyn Kaestle.

Survivors include his wife, Edith (Edie) Ruth Zak, sons, Steven (Cheryl) Daniel Zak, Robert (Stephanie) Brian Zak, and daughter, Lisa (Pete) Zak Marin, ten grandchildren, David (Taylor) Zak, Jonathan Schuler, Chris Zak, Megan (Michael) Burnham, Corissa McCormick, Nick Marin, Kristin Schuler, Mariah (Bryon) Proctor, Matt Marin, Will Marin, and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his niece, Kathi Vandermolen, as well as other nieces and nephews.

Memorial services: Friday, November 26, 2021, at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tom Jordan and Rev. Chris Clark officiating. Music provided by Rev. Doug Simonds. Interment will follow in First Baptist Church of Epworth Cemetery.
