She was born on Sept. 20, 1916, in Carbondale, Pa., the daughter of Augustino and Maria (Drago) Giardina.
She married Enrico W. Blasetti on Oct. 25, 1941, in Carbondale. He passed away on Nov. 1, 2001, after 60 years of marriage.
Anna was a homemaker but for a number of years she worked at the Oneonta Dress Factory.
She was a member of St. Mary's Church and a former member of the Rosary Society. She also, along with her husband, was a member of the Italian American Club.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Louis and Cheryl Blasetti of Oneonta, Fred and Lorraine Blasetti of Granada Hills, Calif., and Mary Ann and Ron Gleason of Chatham; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by a sister, Joya Glad and her husband, Charles, of Lady Lake, Fla.; a stepsister, Mary Wiedeman, and her husband, Carmen, of Oneonta; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2002, at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Oneonta, with the Rev. Paul Roman, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in the spring in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Emmons.
Friends may call at the Lester R. Grummons Funeral Home, 14 Grand St., Oneonta, on Friday, Jan. 25, 2002, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at which time the family will be in attendance.
Memorial contributions may be made to A.O. Fox Hospital Nursing Home, for the construction of a resident sunroom.
