Graveside services for Charles Decatur Hancock, 82, of Hazel Green who passed away on November 2,2021 will be held Friday 2PM at Concord Cemetery with Elder Ray Howell officiating. He was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan on August 25, 1939, to Russell and Sybel Hancock. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jim Hancock.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Kikuko Hancock; daughter Michelle Barnett and her husband Bill of New Market, AL; son Russell Hancock of Omaha, NE; grandchildren Jacob Barnett and Joshua Barnett of New Market, AL, and Cameron Hancock of Beulaville, NC; two great grandchildren Exzy and Zailey Hancock of Beulaville, NC; brother Arnold Hancock of Ripley, TN; sisters Joyce Hancock, Kathy Green, Margie Morris and Peggy Howell, all of Ripley, TN; and several nieces and nephews.

Charles was an avid gardener and health enthusiast. He loved sharing his knowledge of gardening, canning, cooking and nutrition. He was affectionately known as the Old Alabama Gardener on YouTube.
