Gerald "Jerry" James LesMonde, age 77, a Maribel resident, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018, at the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on April 4, 1941, in Manitowoc, son of the late Gerald Henry and Agnes (O'Malley) LesMonde. Jerry graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1959. After graduation, he served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany. Jerry attended college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned his degree at Silver Lake College. On June 18, 1966, he married the love of his life, Sheila Spaeth, in Manitowoc. Jerry owned and operated his own accounting business for 45 years. He enjoyed helping his clients, who were more like old friends; spending time with his wife and daughter; going on 'ventures; and communing with the plants and insects in his yard.
He is survived by his wife: Sheila LesMonde; daughter: Dana (Pete Lynch) LesMonde; brother: David LesMonde; sister: Mary Rodewald; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: John (Mary) Spaeth, Sharon (Gary) Stone; and good friend: Greg Tappendorf. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Gerald was preceded in death by a brother-in-law: Robert Spaeth.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 South 14th Street, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. until 4:45 p.m.
