Born in Locust Valley, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Elizabeth Parfitt Burkey. She lived most of her life in Mahanoy City. She worked for Janowitch Dress Factory, Mahanoy City. Mrs. Seddon was a member of Salem Evangelical Congregational Church, Mahanoy City. Her husband, Alfred, died in 1961.
Surviving are two sons: Thomas, Marion, OH; and Daniel, Mahanoy City; two daughters: Kathryn Seddon and Elizabeth Cope, both of Allentown; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
