Young Memorial Chapel. The earthly life of Brother Willie Lee Caldwell came to an end Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Carolina Pines Hospital in Hartsville, SC. He had fought a good fight and and had finished his course. Isn't it good to know that he is free from pain and suffering? God is a good God! Our beloved Willie Lee Caldwell was born on December 26, 1946 in Kershaw County. He was the son of the late James and Eva Mae King Caldwell. He was educated in the public schools and was a 1965 graduate of Pine Forest High School. He was introduced to the teachings of Jesus Christ in his youth. He loved the Lord and accepted him as His personal Savior. He joined Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and served with distinction. He was a pillar of strength and strength and stability on the Deacon's Ministry, as member of the Building Fund, Antioch Men Workshop, Sunday School Teacher and role model as a Christian for young men and women. He desired and worked hard to lead others to Christ. Because of family and the era in which he grew up, he realized that hard work and clean living were the keys to upward mobility. He was employed as a machine operator at Fiberweb for forty-two years. He was a conscientious and diligent employee. He encouraged younger worker about the benefits of being loyal, timely and prepared to give a good days work for their pay. He stressed being safe on the job because he was a safety trainer. He was an excellent mechanic and enjoyed working on cars. He could listen to a running car and tell what was wrong. He then proceeded to fix car. He was united in holy matrimony to Sherlby Jean Phillips Caldwell. This union was blessed emotionally, spiritually, financially and with loving, devoted children. In his leisure, Willie Lee enjoyed being outside where he watched plants and animals grow. When he needed to think and wanted solitude, he went fishing. He enjoyed sitting on the banks and fishing. Willie Lee loved family and friends. He was an excellent provider and was always willing to lean a helping to family and friends. Willie Lee touched the lives of many. Because of his lifestyle, he inspired many to set goals and work to achieve their dreams. Those surviving to cherish his memory are: his loving and devoted wife, Sherlby Jean Caldwell of the home; his children, Willie Ray Caldwell, Kimm (Minister Aundray) Mack both of Hartsville, SC, Jimmy Lee (Amelia) Caldwell of Darlington, SC, Lewis (Latonya) Caldwell of Columbia, SC and Jody (Renea) Caldwell of Raleigh, NC; mother-in-law, Martha G.
