George Keith Erskine was born on 19 February 1809 to Sir David Erskine and Hon. Keith Elphinstone, daughter of John Elphinstone, 11th Lord Elphinstone. He entered in the British Indian Army.


1824-1828 - George Keith Erskine was appointed "Second Lieutenant" of the 1st Bombay Lancers.


1828-1836 - Served as "Lieutenant."


1837 - Married Selina Chambers.


1837-1849 - Served as "Captain." He died on 12 January 1849 at Multan.
