Andrew J McIntyre, son of Andrew McIntyre and Bridget McVann, was a native of County Sligo, Ireland. His father died when Andrew was a young child. His mother Bridget immigrated to the United States about 1887, and remarried in 1892. Andrew remained in County Sligo with his maternal grandparents and did not immigrate to the USA until 1906. He was naturalized in 1914. Andrew married Mary Anne Healy on 26 May 1920 in Chicago, Illinois. They were the parents of three children. Andrew died at the age of 66 and was interred in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip on 5 Mar 1949.
