April Dawn Schoolcraft Ables, of Manila, WV died November 8, 2021.

She was born December 23, 1969, in Madison, WV, a daughter of Deborah (Stollings) and Bob Schoolcraft.

April was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Ervin Berthold and Josephine (Barker) Stollings of Manila; paternal grandfather Paul Schoolcraft of Man; uncle Kenneth Stollings of Manila; and brother-n-law Nathanial Porter of Manila.

April was a 1988 graduate of Chapmanville High School. She went on to earn a para-legal degree in 1990 from the WV Business School in Charleston. She was recently working as an in-home care giver.

Survivors include paternal grandmother Deloris Schoolcraft of Man; mother and step-father Deborah and David Miller of Manila; father and step-mother Bob and Terri Schoolcraft of Man; sister Wendy and brother-n-law AJ Constant of Man; children Shayne and (Chelsey) Butcher of Mississippi, Sierra Butcher and (Brandon) of Six Mile, and Allyson Ables of Maryland; granddaughters Hindley and Landyn Williams of Six Mile; nephews Dakota Adkins, Nathan Porter and niece Korilynn Constant all of Man; and many other family and friends including her little dog "Lolli."

April had an infectious laugh that could brighten any day. She had a big heart for others and a big smile that brightened when she talked about her children. They were her pride and joy and she loved to brag about their accomplishments. She was equally proud to be a "Nonnie" to Hindley and Landyn. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 13 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville with visitation one hour prior to the service.
