Sacred to the memory of Colonel John Edward Broome, 2nd Punjab Cavalry, second son of the late Major General Arthur Broome, Royal Bengal Artillery, who died at Edwardesabad on the 11th August 1887 aged 44 years. "Until the day dawns."
