Mavis Mary Allen, 86, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Blue Springs, MO. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 8th in Highland Cemetery, Hamilton, MO. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 7th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove.
Mavis was born January 9, 1935, in (city, state), the daughter of Arval and Velma (Thomas) Carner. She was a homemaker, loved to quilt, and enjoyed gardening, horseback riding, and spending time with her family.
Mavis was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Alta Ann Hatcher and Cora Lee Becker.
Her survivors include her husband, Leonard Allen of the home; two daughters: Velma Reade (Richard) of Odessa, MO, and Teresa Stephens (Scott Bultemeier) of Grain Valley, MO; three grandchildren: Mike Reade, Jennifer Backlund, and Clayton Stephens; and three great-grandchildren: Austin Reade, Kinley Backlund, and Taryn Backlund.
