Mary Margaret Granderson Miller, 87, of Kingsland passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, November 5, 2021.
She was born March 2, 1934, near Kingsland to the late Lloyd Granderson and Delma Broach Granderson May of Kingsland.
Mary resided most of her life in Kingsland where she and her husband owned and operated a saw mill, lumber and pallet company. She attended Hebron Methodist Church. Mary was an avid traveler, visiting all 50 States and 10 foreign countries. She enjoyed gardening, harvesting her own vegetables to cook for her family. She was well known for her homemade rolls, oatmeal cookies, and pecan pralines. Mary also enjoyed planting and maintaining the flowers in her yard, especially her daffodils.
Mary loved her family and friends greatly and will be missed by everyone that knew her.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Troy Miller, whom she married January 29, 1952, her parents, and stepfather, Virgil May.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Pat Neal (Ricky) of Kingsland, Sandra Nipper (Paul) of Hot Springs, Cindy Bryant (Ray) of Kingsland; son, David Miller (Johnna) of Kingsland; four grandchildren, Kelly Taylor (Ronnie), Karen Hart (Abram) both of Kingsland, Jennifer Robinson (Nick), T.J. Bryant (Jenna) both of New Edinburg; 10 great grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Duncan and Jo Wegner, both of Kingsland; and one brother, James Lloyd Granderson (Frances) of Atlanta, TX.
