Graveside services were at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 31, at Montgomery City Cemetery. Visitation was held on Friday, August 31, 2018 from 10:15 AM until 10:45 AM at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. Mr. Tony Mattox officiated and the Patriot Guard Riders were Casketbearers.
Donny was born January 3, 1942 in Campbell, Missouri, the son of Jesse O. and Alma F. (Perkins) Modlin. He married Freda A. Rowe and she survives.
Mr. Modlin retired from McDonnell-Douglas/Boeing on October 1, 1999. He had attended Pleasant Hill Christian Church. He was a member of the NRA and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1 in Cape Girardeau. Donny enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a tinkerer who was always fixing things.
Survivors include his wife, Freda Modlin of the home; one step-daughter, April Dee Sanders and special friend, Carla E. Brown, both of Kansas City; and one sister, Connie Murphy.
Donny was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob Modlin and Jim Modlin.
Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City is handling the arrangements.
