Settergren, John J., Sr. - Age 70, died peacefully in the presence of God on October 30, 2003. Survived by his beloved children, John J. (Jr.); his wife, Tammy; Amy (Rosenberger) her husband Mike, Patrick and his wife Tina. Blessed grandchildren John J. (III), Kayli, Marissa, Corbin, Michael, Kaitlyn, Riley, Chase, Carson and Tyler. Dear brother of Mary (and the late Pat Egan), the late Harry Settergren and his wife Dixie. John graced us all with love for life and strength in God, he will be greatly missed. John attended St. Marks Elem. 1948; Cretin H.S. graduated in 1952, served with the Army in Korea 1952-1955, and attended St. Thomas Univ. 1955-1958. John left Minneapolis 1958 relocated to Indiana, returning in 1965 to Duluth and started Settergren Outdoor Advertising. 1972-1984 he resided again in Minneapolis and from 1984 to present resided in Scottsdale, AZ. From 1981 until his retirement in 2002 he was the Marketing Director for Life Care Services Inc. Mass of Christian Burial 11AM Friday at NATIVITY OF OUR LORD CATHOLIC CHURCH (324 S. Prior at Stanford Aves., St. Paul.) Visitation 9:30-10:45AM Friday at O'HALLORAN & MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 575 S. Snelling Ave., St. Paul (651-698-0796). Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
