Gaylord L. Lambries, age 87, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center.

Gaylord was born on April 29, 1934 in Manitowoc to the late Edward and LaMoyne (Haver) Lambries. He was part of the first high school exchange program in the United States. The exchange between Macon, GA and Manitowoc resulted in life-long friendships for Gaylord. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1952. On July 22, 1953, Gaylord enlisted with the United States Army. He served overseas in Germany for 17 months until his honorable discharge on May 17, 1955. Upon his return, Gaylord received his Associates Degree from UW Manitowoc. On June 22, 1962, Gaylord married Lois Schneider at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church at Collins with Rev. P.K. Press officiating. He had worked in cost accounting at Kelvinator for 30 1/2 years. Gaylord was a member of American Legion Post 88, and was privileged to participate in the Old Glory Honor Flight which he attended with his good friend, Fritz Boeder. He was an active member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church where he served on the church's Finance Committee for 17 years.

Survivors include Gaylord's wife of 59 years, Lois; daughter and son-in-law, Laura (Dan) Schreiner, Manitowoc; three grandchildren, Brittany (Matt) Post, Denmark; Erica (Brett) Brickner, Neenah; and Casey Schreiner, Manitowoc; three great grandchildren, Ella Grace and Lilly Hope Brickner, and Levin Phillip Post; sister-in-law, Bernice Schneider; also other relatives and friends. Gaylord was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and LaMoyne Lambries; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Henry and Lilly Schneider; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law to include: Harvey (Betty) Schneider, Clarmont, Ellwood and Orville Schneider, Lucille (Elwood) Wenzel, and Lila Schneider.

Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3209 Meadow Lane, Manitowoc. Rev. Robert Kujawski and Rev. Stephen Melso will officiate with burial to take place at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date. Military rites will be accorded at the church immediately following the funeral service by American Legion Post 88. A dessert reception will then follow at the church. The family will greet relatives and friends at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church on Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 6 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
