Peter C. Archer born 1840 Mecklenburg, North Carolina, Died 22 June 1862 Petersburg,Virginia. His Father was Fielding Archer, Mother Catherine. He was married , Spouse Sarah E. 1842 North Carolina, child John P. archer 1857 and child Sallie 1859. They can be found in the 1860 census for Floyd County, Georgia His grave memorial #225661725 There is no burial information for his parents. His mother died between 1860 & 1865 and his father died between 1860 & 1865. There is information in the Rome Georgia newspaper about Fielding's death and court proceedings for the minor children and distribution of Fielding's property.
Father Fielding Archer and mother Catherine archer and siblings are listed in the 1860 Census for Barkers District, Floyd County, Georgia. Catherine died between 1860 and 1865 and Fielding 1801-Nov 1866 died in Barkers District, Floyd County, Georgia. No Burial records for either. Son Peter and son William LaFayette both enlisted in the Army and both died in Virginia. Another son Joseph F. also enlisted when he was older. If you have questions, please ask.
