1933 Feb 28 - Cadillac - Emma L Nelson was born Friday 21 Nov 1856 in Sweden to Carl Johan 'C J' & Christina Maria Larsson Nelson. She married Joachin Frank Jacobson Saturday 28 Jan 1882 in Cadillac. Frank & Emma had a boarding house and saloon at 208-210 N Mitchell St. After his death, Emma continued to run the business, until it was forced to close, the second time in 1912, when Wexford County went 'dry' again.

Emma L Nelson Jacobson died Tuesday 28 Feb 1933 at the age of 76 y 3 m 7 d in Cadillac. She suffered from lung fever when she was 24 years old. Survivors included 1 sister, Elina Jacobson Swanson; and 1 brother, Lewis A Nelson. She was preceded in death by her husband Joachin Frank Jacobson 1900; her parents, Carl 01 May 1895 & Christina 07 Aug 1891; 1 sister, Ida S Nelson Lofgren 17 Jul 1895; 4 brothers, John Albert Nelson 17 Dec 1923, Charles Arvid Nelson 29 Jan 1921, Constant Nelson 19 Nov 1930, Oscar Nelson 29 Jun 1915.

Burial was in Plot H-224-SE-002 in Maple Hill Cemetery in Cadillac.
