She was born in London, Kentucky, was a resident of Elizabethtown for 54 years and had numerous close friends through her church and social organizations. She was a volunteer for numerous charity efforts and social involvement in the Hardin County area. She was a devoted member of First Presbyterian Church of Elizabethtown. Jackie's trademark phrase was, "Kill em' with Kindness," which reflected her caring and gentle approach to others and her devotion to the Lord. She was a dedicated Big Blue fan and rarely missed basketball or football games.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucy and Ernest Barrett; a sister, Margie Evans; two brothers-in-law, Vernon Evans and Lowell Niceley; a niece, Pam Hyde; and a nephew, David Niceley.
Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband of 64 years; a sister; three children; three nephews and nieces; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
