MAVIS LAVERA ULERY, 78, of Green Valley, passed away in her home with her daughter and sister at her side on Jan. 22, 2012. She was born Jan. 23, 1933, in Sebastian County, Ark. She is with Jesus now.
She was preceded by her husband, Chuck Ulery; her parents, William and Ella Barnes; brother, Charles Barnes; and sisters Carolyn Coldiron and Ruth Smith of Arkansas. She is survived by her sisters Evelyn Winfrey of Green Valley, Betty Hattabaugh and Debbie Martindale of Ft. Smith, Ark., Joyce Kelly Repass of Weatherford, Texas; brother Carol Barnes of Huntington, Ark.; her dear friend Hilda Biddlecome; her children, daughters Patty Allen of Fallon, Nev., Karen White (Russ) of Portland, Ore., and April Ulery of Cruces, N.M.; John Ulery and Mark Ulery of California; four grandchildren, Tanya Grimes, Tricia Nord, Craig Seever and Rachel Allen; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-granddaughters. She loved and enjoyed her family, friends, neighbors and, of course, DANCING!
A memorial for family and friends will take place at 3 p.m. Sat., Feb. 18, in Esperanza Estates at the Ramada on Calle del Ensalmo. RSVP 648-3993. A memorial will be held in Arkansas in April.
