Born in Catawba County June 13, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Paul Ray and Blanche Bolick Coffey.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Burl Coffey; a sister, Margaret Yoder Stine; and her brothers, Joe Yoder and Ray Yoder. Betty was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her son, Rick Coffey of Hickory; a sister-n-law, Rosie Yoder; and her fur baby, Tippy.
The family will receive friends Saturday, Jan. 26, from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m., at Zion Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 26, at 3 p.m., at Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. David Drysdale officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery.
